Spotting Denmarks 6th Desert Wheatear Oenanthes deserti.

A bunch of birders are standing in line in front of the winter bathing societys house at the eastern pier of Gilleleje harbour, at the break of day, Sunday December 3rd 2000. ørkenstenpikker

This first-year female, Oenanthes deserti atrogularis, the 6th. Desert Wheatear in Denmark ever, was found the day before, at this record breaking late time of year and only fourteen days after an adult male bird was located on the Northsea coast of Jutland, 200 miles west of Copenhagen.
